[SOLVED] Problem with reading CDs

I have a problem with two specific CDs. When I put them in, my optical drive spins up, starts reading them, and I can access them but after a few seconds, it stops spinning entirely (and the LED starts flashing intensely), which obviously stops it from reading anything. That also makes explorer stop responding. Other CDs work fine. Any way to fix that? I really need the photos that are on them...
Also, the first time I opened it, it worked fine for a while, but then it stopped reading.

Try the CD in another optical drive. CD's doesn't last forever. They are pretty crappy media to keep your data on for a long time.

If those pictures were important they should have been backed up on multiple media so that you do not lose them.
