Question Problem with screen resolution

So i bought a new graphics card GTX 750 (previous gt 210). And i installed the latest drivers. My monitor resolution is 1440x900 (16:10), but windows set my native resolution as 1024:768. And when i change it to 1440x900 the screen is kinda blurry. I need help from someone so it is not blurry. It's so irritating.

I have an old vga only monitor, i use a dvi to vga adapter to connect it (it only has dvi ports).

Can you uninstall and reinstall drivers from Nvidia's website? Make sure you get the correct OS and version. Might be a bad cable/adapter? Do you have a spare to test with?
