Hey there,

Quick question; I noticed that very often from my PSU there are coming electrical buzzing/whining sounds. It sounds very smilar to coil whines when i listened to recordings of them online. The problem is that even after my PC is shutdown and i turn PSU to "off" switch - I can still hear that sound. Only when i unplug the power cable, the sounds stops. As soon as I plug it in; this buzzing sound is starting immediately. I tried 3 different power cables. The issue is the same on all of them.

Could it be dangerous to the PC? Any ideas as to what could be causing that?

Thanks! :)

Try different power outlet to rule out bad outlet. If that changes nothing then it's probably faulty PSU. It can be dangerous, or it can work just fine for years, impossible to tell. I would suggest trying another PSU just to make sure it's not something else. Then you can decide whether you want to swap it or not.

That doesn't sound right.

Make and model of your PSU and it's age? What are the full system's specs for your build? Might want to see if the all connections are secure to the PSU and to your components.

i5-13600K
4070 Ti,
16 GB RAM,
Cooler Master MWE Gold V2 850W,

The PC is 2 months old. All components are new.
