[SOLVED] Problem with Task Manager

So my task manager have this weird issue where it only updates once every 5 seconds, and when I try to close it I need to wait for the 5 seconds tick to occure, it freezes and closes once that happens. This doesn't happen on boot I think something triggers the error, tried to change the refresh speed from inside the task manager but nothing happened, everything on the PC works fine except for this.

PC specs? W10 build number?

By default, Task Manager updates its data every two seconds; each vertical line on the graphs represents a two-second interval. To change the update frequency, from Task Manager's top menu choose View --> Update Speed and select High or Low instead of Normal.

Already tried that, it has nothing to do with the frequency it just minifreezes, what makes me convinced this is an error is that it doesn't occur all the time. and it freezes when I do an action until it refreshes again. (it refreshes about every 5 seconds, might take more than that)

Does it happen in safe mode?
go to settings/update & security/recovery
under advanced startup, click restart now button
this restarts PC in a blue menu
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose startup options
click the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
Pc will restart and load safe mode

Do you have latest bios and chipset drivers?

if it doesn't happn on restart...
Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.

I have both the latest chipset and BIOS, as a matter of fact I suspect the chipset update was the cause of this, I've done a complete format to my PC and it still happens.

Are there any other noticeable problems apart from task manager doing this?

Does it happen in safe mode? that would at least tell us if its software or hardware. Reformat seems to lean towards hardware as it be unfortunate to get same software twice... but you never know.

Asus have chipset Version 2.05.04.352 dated 25/8/2020.
That is tricky as AMD have version 2.07.14.327 dated 21/7/2020

The version number of Asus drivers actually shows they are from May. explains how AMD drivers are older but have newer driver versions, as Asus just changed the date on the installer, probably added their badges too.
