Problem with TD-8961ND 300Mbps

Recently I added an extra tv IPTV box to my house. When I connected the wired cable from the router to the tv, the signal dropped out from the first wired connection. I have checked my download speed, and although on the low side, 5.5 this used to work fine initially. The router works perfectly using other devices wifi. If I disconnect either cable, the tv set on the other cable works. I have replaced the router 3 times for replacement ones, under guarantee. but eventually, they all have dropped out. I have changed position of the cables to different ports, but to no avail. Does anybody have any ideas what to do. Thank you in advance. Will.b.

Update the router firmware if you havent already. In the firmware make sure all 4 ports are enabled and that you allow more than 3 connections (ip pool count) (make sure you have enough IPs to cover all your devices) and set the lease time to the max by entering a 0.

Otherwise check the routers logs under status.
