Problem with the background

Hi, a few days ago my graphics card died. I put a gt 7100 gs and it worked fine but sometimes the background crashed like this:

Now i have put a gt 210 and the same happend . What can be the reason ?

Have you tried different backgrounds? That looks more like a corrupted image. Maybe when the old GPU died it destroyed the image.
