I have been using a MSI R5450 PCI graphics card in this motherboard for quite some time with no problems, i had this pc connected via a Belkin flip PS/s KVM switch to another pc which has exactly the same components. The connection to the PC is to an Acer S240HL monitor was via a VGA cable.
The Belkin KVM switch has died recently, so i have to find a method to connect my pcs to the PC, using them singly with their own keyboard and mouse. I have run into an immediate problem.
The pc POSTs but i have an "index 32 is out of range for type URCHAR[1] " error with a black screen and Linux wont load.
I have removed the graphics card from PCI slot and have attempted to use the integrated graphics of the APU which this motherboard has. I set this up by loading the defaults through F5. I can find no other way in doing this as there is absolutely nothing on this subject in the handbook supplied by Asus, i don't think this method is working however as I'm still getting the black screen index error? Can anyone help me with this, i cannot get through to Asus support for help! thank you for reading this
