Hi People,
First post here, need some advice.
I got an older (2010) Toshiba c655d laptop it's got an integrated amd 1.50g processor. I want to upgrade it to an intel based board with a socketed processor. I've tried 2 different boards, except for the processors both the boards are identical to the original and have a 2.2g Celeron cpu.
The problem is the screen will not power up with the intel boards in place. The power led comes on and the fan comes on but no screen.
Is it possible the screen is not compatible with the intel graphics chip ?

The amd board can use regular or low voltage ram 1.35v OR 1.50v but the intel board only uses the 1.50v ram. I was using the low votage ram, as soon as I put in the 1.50v it started right up
