Question Problem with USB ports on ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DT

Hi,

I have this weird bug/error on my laptop which has been going on for months now. Whenever I connect my usb mouse to my laptop, it lights up and moves but I can't click on anything, left and right click both aren't working. I can only fix it by opening Task Manager and starting to move the window around multiple times, then it starts working.
After I shutdown my laptop and keep the USB mouse connected, I start it up again and it does the same thing. I've tried reinstalling drivers, updating drivers, disconnecting and connecting it again and trying different usb ports.
I haven't found any answers or discussions about this and nothing has fixed this permanently, so it would be nice to get it fixed.

Every mouse I've tried has issues.

Tried restoring my laptop to a point in time when everything was working correctly, still not working.
Anyone got any ideas?

After updating windows, I've already tried restoring previous install though..

Different ports, restoring windows to earlier state, uninstalling and installing drivers

Right, so I don't think the problem is with only my ports. I turned my laptop on without my mouse connected and my touchpad does the same thing. Doesn't click until I do the task manager "trick".
