Problem with Voltage

Hello all, I am currently overclocking my I5 4670k, its on an MSI z87-G45., I have it running at 4.4 right now smooth so far, I have my CPU Voltage set to 1.275, yet when I fire up the stress test, it instantly jumps to 1.296v and maxes out at that and stays. I wanted to lock my volts in but that doesn't seem to be happening. I know it wont run that high when It is under normal use, but is this something to worry about? Why isn't it locking in my V's like I so very kindly asked it too???

This is a result of dynamic voltage change. The downside is that during extreme testing the voltage will exceed the one set. HOWEVER it will not exceed that value when heavily gaming or other actions. You can change the settings to disable this feature, but you do not want to. It does a good job of undervolting the cpu during light use. You're not seeing anything wrong, just a feature. Keep it how it is, there is no problem =)

I just fired up BF4 and when I was playing it, according to CPU-Z, it was maxing out the Voltage at that 1.296 the whole time. Is that normal as well to run full tilt in the game?

Hmm, the article I read says that is not normal. Not sure what to say without seeing your bios myself. Sorry friend.
One option is the ADC on the cpu is not working right and displaying a slightly higher value than actual

Yeah I just reverted to all stock for fun and the volts aren't doing anything crazy. I missed something, going to do some more research after I sleep it off. lol Ill probably be back.
