Hi Guys,

So I just built a new PC and I bought a Windows 10 installation USB from Amazon. I'm not sure why, but my BIOS doesn't recognize the Windows 10 USB at all. I've removed all the available HDD/SSD until I'm left with the one that I wanted to install my Windows 10 to.

I would like to know how do I go about installing the windows 10 from boot menu. Please pardon me for asking such question as this is my first time giving USB installation a try. The last time I built my PC (2013) I was using a DVD drive.

I'm using ASUS Motherboard by the way and the specs are as follows:
- i7-8700k
- Asus ROG Maximus X Hero
- Noctua NH-D15S
- Asus ROG Geforce 1080 STRIX
- Corsair RMX 650W
- G.Skill TridentZ RGB DDR4 3000(16GB)
- Phanteks Enthoo Evolv

I've also attached a few screenshots of my boot menu here for easy reference.

Solution
you shouldn't have needed to change anything on bios to boot off win 10 as a New board should be set to boot in EUFI, Did you change it at all to use Win 7 as that is what those settings look like to me

You might want to disable Fast boot if its ignoring the USB, as Fast boot on Asus just means it ignores all USB devices at boot except mouse/Keyboard.

I haven’t update any chipset driver as my motherboard is the latest.

The specs for my setup is as follows:

- Asus ROG Maximus X Hero
- Noctua NH-D15S
- Asus ROG Geforce 1080 STRIX
- Corsair RMX 650W
- G.Skill TridentZ RGB DDR4 3000(16GB)
