I have no clue what is wrong with my Photo gallery, it keeps breaking pictures (as shown bellow) I've looked on-line for solutions, but I haven't been able to find a solution, is it a hardware problem? or a have I corrupted something? I'm not sure

Solution
Is this only in Windows Photo Gallery?
Try using other programs to view your photo's, I guess there are plenty (can't recommend one, because I don't use another). If it turns out to be only Windows Photo Gallery, you could always try restoring Windows by some recovery tool build-in with Windows 8.1 (I remember it has one). But I prefer just clean installing Windows again.

Solution
I don't have a solution but I do have information about what might be causing it since I have the exact same problem with the upper left corner of images appearing intermittently in Photo Gallery and sometimes with the pattern as seen here or with white in that corner. Also Photo Gallery occasionally quits with a "Photo Gallery Stopped Working" message. Note that all of this started happening when I changed motherboards and started using the onboard AMD R7 video controller. I can restore my old adapter or install any video adapter and the problem seems to go away so possibly this is caused by an inherent hardware incompatibility with the onboard R7 video chipset? Note too that this was confirmed on another machine where the same switch to the AMD R7 onboard video happened.

Just discovered now that removal of the AMD catalyst drivers fixed my problem. The corner problem is gone and I don't get any more messages indicating that "Photo Gallery stopped working" and had to shut down.

I expect there's an adjustment in the catalyst drivers that can be done to fix this problem so if anyone has this problem and solves it so that the catalyst drivers don't cause a problem on the onboard AMD R7 video configuration, please post it here.
