Problem with windows photo gallery

Hi, Iam using a vista starter. A few weeks ago I formatted my PC and now I have encountered a problem with Windows Photo Gallery. whenever I zoom a photo using the zoom option the whole image turn black and white but when i zoom using mouse wheel it works fine. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanx.

Yes, I have installed both SP1, SP 2 . But the problem is still there
