Problem with Windows Update

Hey there.

I'm having problems with Windows Update (legitimate version of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit).
Since the 15th of January, 2014, windows has always been stuck on updating. I mean, it installs 3 updates in 3 seconds every time I shut down my computer. Every. Single. Time. Now when I started looking into this, and opened windows update, then I clicked "check for updates", and got this error: http://prntscr.com/31xt3n

The error code, which is seen on the first screenshot, leads to nothing. I mean, nothing.

Any help guys?

Also, , before you shut down, open control panel/ Windows update, If it's 3 updtaes showing as ready to be installed, they can be (I believe) right clicked on & hidden so as to not update (it can also be done one at a time to see which, if any, is the problem)

one other question - Have you replaced the hard drive just before this error?

is date and time correct? are you noticing any other issues, like not being able to open the firewall (click start type firewall.cpl then press enter)?

Date and time are correct, firewall is managed by my AV.

I tried the windows update troubleshooting -> no help.
Tried the troubleshooter -> no help either.
The service mentioned is running and on automatic startup.
