Problem writing Dual Layer DVDs

Hey guys...
I use this DVD burner:

Sony DRU840A 20x Internal Dual-Layer DVD Burner

I have tried writing dual layer DVDs and it always fails...
i used Nero 8...
it writes fine upto about 4.5 GB and then it just stops... showing burning process failed.
But Nero does show capacity upto 8500MB (8.5GB) or something like that...

please tell me what to do...

I have experienced it with Nero 8 and 9, happens often more with burning projects with many titles. Slowing drive burn speed down to 2x can help sometimes.

i tried burning a single image of orange box too... even that failed at about 4.5GB or something... i dont remember exactly...
why is that?
