Problems after applying MS04-011 and MS04-12

I have recently deployed the patches KB835732(ms04-011) and
KB828741(ms04-012)on all my pcs.
But some pcs under Windows NT4 SP6a have a problem after
rebooting : the display goes back to vga mode ! And if we
try to re-install the original video driver, the pc hangs
after rebooting.

I have seen on the microsoft support that the patch ms04-
011 could cause somes failures on Windows NT4 desktops but
nothing appears to have a link with my current situation.

Hi Prospere:

The posting is late, but I wanted to relay what info I have on situations
like this. You dind't mention the brand of machine you were dealing with so
I wanted to cover the bsaes.

We have seen issues with video driver incompatibilities on Dell Latitude
C400's with an Intel Video Chipset 830M running video driver version
6.13.01.2967 (A01). In these instances the PC will not boot out of the
docking station. In the cases that we have seen the issue has been resolved
by updating the video driver prior to applying the security update.
