Question Problems after installing new 5800X3D.

Just bought a new r7 5800x3d, i installed it, nothing happened, no power at all, even the motherboard light wouldn't display, however i could get power from the usb ports. When i went to plug my old cpu in, it wouldn't boot with both ram sticks, but worked with just the one. I thought the bios update was the problem but i had the latest version F65b, 5800x3d requiring F60.
What should i do? I have returned the CPU as i have no other options than to think its faulty, however now i am stuck with the one ram stick. I have tried clearing CMOS, reset the BIOS, but nothing is working ;/.
Should i buy a new 5800x3d and see if it works or maybe my motherboard has broken in this process?
Thanks

IDK if your area is prone to static electricity...

Have you been able to check that both RAM sticks work, one at a time?
Have you gone through and checked all of your PSU connections to make sure they are secure?
Hi, thanks for your reply.
Yes, I have tried swapping the sticks and both work just fine. Only the second slot seems to work, (3rd and 4th not working)
I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the PSU connections, as it seems to boot just fine with other CPUS, I have checked and they all seem to be secured in place.
This has only happened since inserting the new 5800x3d. I have sent this back now, do you think it's worth ordering a new one?

If your DIMM slots aren't working anymore either your motherboard is toast or there's something up with the CPU.

Motherboard side the socket may have been damaged in some fashion. It may also have had a power issue (like if the new CPU was bad and shorted something).

CPU side it is possible bad mounting pressure could cause this, or bent pins.

That being said I'm not sure I would try to run any of the 105W Zen 3 parts on that motherboard due to the VRM.

I ended up buying a new motherboard, and it worked perfectly fine. I'm guessing i had broken my board some way or another, since the ram slots had also stopped working.
