Problems after installing new PSU and GPU R9 380

UPDATE:

I just got it all back to normal I thought I had reseted the BIOS but the way i pursued can fail, I did a more advanced BIOS reset after talking in the HP support forums and the computer works as b4 with the original Hardware.

After stabilizing my system by doing the CMOS/BIOS reset like previously updated I had to:
Update the BIOS of the PC which being from HP meant downloading a BIOS version 8 and above which is available under the Windows 8 tab, it worked even though im using windows 7. Without the proper BIOS ull get a black screen.

After that since I already used an AMD card b4 that and had already installed the 15.7.1 catalyst when i entered windows it just installed automatically the new GPU, requested a restart and voila all working

The new hardware installed was MSI R9 380 2GB armor along with the power supply XFX TS 550.

Problems with the new power supply:

the fan works but when I closed the windows the first problem arose, the picture freezes on the screen that says "windows shuting down" and after a few seconds the screen turns off but all the rest inside the computer case continues running from the fans to the light of the on / off button. Not even pressing the power button worked had to turn it off in the back switch of the psu ...

When I restart the computer he shuts down, and only after a few seconds he turns on…


GPU problems:

I installed the latest drivers that come in amd catalyst package 15.7.1
The fans worked but the screen did not detect any input ...

Problems after reinstalling the original hardware:

Things did not go back to what they were before: when I close the windows the screen turns off but all the rest inside the computer case still works, from the fans to the very light of button on / off. Holding the off button shuts it down ...

When I restart the computer he shuts down, and only after a few seconds he turns on, b4 it just reinitiated without any kind of turning on / off and without any noticeable delay...

So basically it has a lot of the problems that originated from the new PSU which makes me think that the new PSU fried some parts of the MOBO as fudgecakes99 pointed out and he also sugested it might be CPU or GPU...

What I have tried so far:
Windows system restore to before installing the new hardware.
BIOS reset

Thx alot for ur help im really in deep crap right now, not only do I have a situation where I don’t get the upgrade I wanted as well as ended up with a situation far worse than when I started…

Oh well guess the best i can do for now is backup everything I need b4 more bad luck strikes again. Should i try a clean installation ? im already dowmloading Windows 7 to install from an USB...

After this experience guess ill avoid the idea of buying a PC with the idea of updating them in between to spare money and just pay extra for a longer gaming life with less possibilities of crap happening...

Should i continue with the PSU RMA ? Is there any reason to continue to be afraid of the new PSU or is it all explained by some problems in the previous BIOS...

turn off windows update first off if you have not already. Helps for restarting times. HDD is slow when being bogged down by windows updates , maybe even some extra software that came with the PC, example AVG or Norton.

keep posting, looks to be windows related , maybe firmware though not likely since your already booting into windows ok.

Installed the latest Original Intel Management Engine Interface Driver no idea if this had any impact or not...
Placed the new PSU back again and it works and Windows shutdowns fine like b4.
The new major problem seems to be the BIOS update, the volunteer from the HP forum said for the R9 380 i would need HP bios Version 8, but from what i checked so far looks like the PC i bought has no support since never got any BIOS update...
ATM i am waiting for his feedback...

Edit: I may have been a bit too quick to condemn after a bit of further testing.

OK IT IS SOLVED ALL IS WORKING !!! All thx to a American volunteer from HP support forum BIG DAVE !!!

I used the 15.7.1 catalyst installer and its all working so far but I only played HotS so far will try something heavier !!!

Erm, no. I would advise that NO ONE do that.

I would also advise that you give it some time before declaring the problem as resolved.

Yep ur right, only run it for a like a hour total so far so not really relevant...
So far had 0 system crashes but had a game crash in Wolfenstein the new order and I wasnt even playing the game, it was after quitting to main menu... no idea if the GPU was the cause... The game was pretty fluid, settings only on High I will check the FPS next time.
Going to spend the whole weekend playing Wolfenstein the new order and 2 or 3 MOBA games, total 7+ hours of gaming but so far no problem... I will update by the end of the day!!!

I'm currently running the 15.15 driver and have had no crashes in over 16 hours, I am running the card in a different rig though so I need to shuffle bits around to see if it was simply a PSU issue.
