Hey guys,
I'm using 2 routers in my home:
one is the main router that's in my living room and the other is in my room.
I haven't done the "switch" configuration for the router in my room my self( make the router in my room bridge me and the original router , plus making a different network's name in my room).
The thing is that I had problems with the username and password of the router in my room so I've restarted the router in my room ( via pressing and holding a reset button 10-15 seconds) and now I can't even access the settings of the router inside my room.
I get the same experience that I was getting before the reset but because
I cannot access the router's settings , the network isn't protected and it's wide-open for public use....

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Solution

All routers have a default username, password and gateway address. Check the user manual, Google your make and model, or post it here for assistance.

your title describes your problem very well "configurating a router that acts like a switch"

do yourself a favor, spend 40 bucks and get an actual switch
