Hi all,

My Gamepad I got from Xerox 2 years ago died so I was looking at controller I could use.
I found out that you can use the Switch Pro Controller on steam which I wish I knew ages ago but oh well.
I'm connecting it to my PC via the USB C on the controller to the USB C port on my x370 MSI board using a 2 meter usb c to usb c cable from Anker.
The light shows that it is charging but nothing can be found using steams controller configuration tool or in windows device manager so I assume it's only charging?
I'm running Steams Beta build.
I've also tried using multiple USB 3/3.1 type A to C cables and the charging light wont even show with those.

Anyone have experience with this? Could it be that I need a specific Nintendo type c cable?
Note: I don't want to goto bluetooth for latency reasons.

Do you hear "the noise" when you connect the USB cable to the PC ? Like any USB when it connects it makes that sound of any new device connecting. If you are not hearing that i would suggest you try another USB port, preferably on the back of your case, not at the front....

Not sounds play whenever I plug it in.
I've using the type C port on the Rear I/O. Tried using multiple type A ports as well.

having the same problem, win10 just won't detect the controller

everyone tells me it's just plug and play and win10 should officialy support it and immediatly download drivers for it as soon you plug it but nothing happens on my end
