Problems for Acer H233H montior

Hello,
I bought an Acer H233H and have it connected to my ATI 4870 via HDMI. The resolution on the monitor is 1920x1080. I set the display resolution to this setting, but the image of the desktop does not fill the full screen. Instead the desktop is framed by wide, approx. 1 inch, black margins on the screen. It seems my card is stuck on 1680 x 1050. But soon as i remove the HDMI cable and put DVI.. the screen is normal..
can some one pls help me

Does anyone know why my graphics card is doing this?

Try Force TV Detect in the display Options of the CCC.

ok you can actually fix it with the 'overscan' option in ccc

@shtickaythai ... use the overscan option... then switch the monitor off... wait for like 1-2mins and then put the monitor on... tell me wat thew results are....

BTW i lost the optionof OVERSCAN... i downloaded the latest drivers and catalyst ...and that overscan option is no longer there
