I have an Dell Inspirion 660 that has a srock Intel graphics driver. I was given an Geforce GTX 745 card and I have upgraded my power supply to 650 but still cannot fully install the card. I downloaded the software from Nvidia and it says to restart the computer. When I restart it it gets to the "starting windows" screen and freezes. I've disabled the intel driver and no luck... please help!

There are a lot of different BIOS and it's possible yours auto detects this. Dell community forum is moderated mostly by Dell employees. It costs nothing to access this resource. Another possibility is an EUFI/AHCI compatibility issue. Older BIOS were AHCI, and newer EUFI which yours should be. Video cards can be either one. I had to be sure and get an AHCI card for my old Dell. Check your system requirements of your GPU for this. I've seen instructions for some DElls to turn off EUFI in BIOS then turn it back on after installing the videocard. Most people here avoid Dells like the plague. There are a lot of people at the Dell forum who have put GPUs in the Inspiron 660. I'm sure they can help solve your problem...
The drivers would be in Windows. But in the BIOS there should be an option to disable the onboard video, or to switch the video source to PCIe. You might try Dell community. They have a good forum there for Dell issues like this. If the BIOS is set for the MB video then it will apply the drivers it finds in Windows to that chip, ignoring your new GPU. The video card itself won't show up in BIOS just the location the BIOS is to use for video.

Is there any way I can send you a picture of my bios screen? I don't see any PCIe or MB video options anywhere. I'm pretty computer friendly since my warrenty is up dell wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for any help..
