problems on computer

why does my gaming pc lag its expensive its got 16g Ram it has 3T of space and my i got icore 7 i havent been downloading any crap or messing around with my computer and it costs $2600 and for some reason when i got it in the first place its fine but when i downloaded some programs its started to lag without a reason no youtube videos help please help me if you have a solution this is just really a big situation and i cant solve it no matter what

You'll need to give us more info if we're to give you useful advice:
List your build components - CPU, CPU cooler, GPU, RAM, mobo, PSU (specific makes and models, please)
Specific OS - i.e. Windows 8.1 64-bit, etc
What programs, if you can remember, that you downloaded prior to the lag onset.
Whether you've done any overclocking, and if so what clock and voltage.
What your CPU idle and load temps are, if you know them.

i have trendo micro the payed version of it and it is useful for virus protection
i emptied my prefetch file and %temp% all done downloads done recycling bin done made my batteries to high performance done
no bad stuff in any programs and when i say programs i mean games and just folders with some mods and kids stuff and its all safe no threats
but i will check out malware bytes i know the program used it before but still doesnt help with this situation
i have windows 8.1
my proccessor : intel(R) core(TM) 17-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50GHz
installed memory: 16gb of RAM
system type: 64 bit 64 bit based proccessor
and im not sure about the rest tell me how i can check plz

On the right of your screen, hover your cursor. When the menu appears, click settings and then PC Info, Copy the processor and paste the info here. Is your PC built by you or someone else? Is it prebuilt? If it is prebuilt, search the model name on Google and paste all the specs given there here.

my computer is also starting to lag but not only that im actually starting to have a problem where my mouse cursor and speakers are acting funny my mouse cursor lags and my speakers make a really funny sound that annoys ma lot

oh and i didnt build my pc i bought it from a store called harvey norman one more thing the model is ENVY pheonix a very good computer and if you see some other stuff about this computer for eg: it has 1T of space thats probably because there selling it on a website or something but i bought mine in a store

From what it seems, I have a feeling it lags during playing video games? Am I right? Because that is not a very powerful GPU and it may cause game to lag if you are playing on the on the highest settings..

On the other hand, if you are playing video games based on the amount of CPU cores like Minecraft, I see no reason for it to lag.. Maybe PSU faulty or something..

what you have just said is wrong i have people with a slower GPU and a computer and they're games are working perfect besides you searched for the right model and the hardrive looks the same but some of these harddrives contain different stuff like this harddrive contains way more better stuff then that hardrive that you said also you found that on a website they sell different ones mine is from a store so thanks for the support but my computer is all good now it just needed to cool down for a day or 2 sometimes they glitch out when they are running for to long
