Hey guys,
So, Arkham Knight's finally dropped and I've got a few hours playing it under my belt. However, I'm having a few issues optimising the graphics settings for my rig. My hardware is -
i5-4460
Galax GeForce GTX 970 (overclocked)
8G RAM
7200RPM HD
Basically, even when I turn the Shadows and Detail Level down to Normal and turn all of the Nvidia Gameworks stuff off, I'm getting a the occasional stuttering, frame tearing and marginal dips in FPS. I know my rig's not the best of the best (and the new recommended specs for Arkham Knight start with an i7 I believe?) but I thought I'd be able to run it at least on medium settings with no drop below 60FPS. Is anyone else was having this problem?
It's a bit weird because my hardware monitor isn't picking up on any unnecessary duress on my hardware. My memory load isn't maxing out, my GPU isn't reaching it's temp/power throttle, nothing's getting to the point of overheating. I'm getting occasional spikes where my CPU is maxing it's usage across all 4 cores, but not the CPU usage isn't consistently high. What do you guys think is causing this? Could it be CPU bottleneck? Or just poor first-day-driver-optimisation?
I know this game just came out so it might be a little early for this. Just thought I'd test the waters, see what you all thought, and see if anyone else was having similiar problems. Cheers guys.
