bsod's... The worst thing ever, so annoying and will happen even with a simple 4.8ghz overclock. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My motherboard is the ASUS PRIME Z-370 A II.
I have a 1000 watt power supply so I know its not a power issue. Im running a overclock that a youtuber used to reach what he said was "a definite stable oc" for 4.7ghz. Which still isn't stable. The only thing thats stable is running default factory OC. If anyone can help that would be wonderfull. Im not the best as overclocking.

Specs:
I7-8700k
ASUS ROG STRIX 2080ti
Corsair Gold 1000watt psu
ASUS PRIME Z-370-A-II
NZXT Kraken x62 Watercooler(fans push-pull on either side of radiator)
16gb DDR4 RAM
Running Windows 10

you should never change BIOS settings to whatever some YouTube video tells you to set things to for an overclock.

Overclocking is a manual and individual process and there is no "one size fits all" settings that simply everyone can set in their BIOS.

Here is a proper guide for overclocking the 8th gen Intel chips.

This will take time, so have patience. The end result will be a higher clocked CPU with more performance that is stable.

And here is an ASUS page for it

The OC process for Kaby Lake is pretty much the same as Skylake and prior.
Here is a REALLY good guide that I used when first getting into Skylake.

Literally this helped. the setting that the youtuber claimed to be like failsafes and such must have been causing it. Thought I had a unlucky proccessor but now im at 5.1 ghz at 1.39v and can go further! Thank you so much I just needed to get my facts straight!

Glad to hear it's all well and that you didn't damage anything when using those settings from that YouTube video.

Unless it's a video from the big guys I wouldn't put too much faith in it.

The big guys are these:
Jayz2Cents
Linus Tech Tips
Bitwit
Paul's Hardware
Gamers Nexus

There's a few other more small time tech YouTubers that are good and trustworthy, but those are the BIG ones.
