Problems playing CS:S and CS:CZ

Hello,

I just got an ATI Radeon HD 4670, and im having trouble playing these games, I skip a lot and lag, with some mouse issues as well. Im not sure what info to post, so can anybody help me?

what are your computer specs? sometimes adding a graffics card to a system adds too much of a load on the psu. alot of the inexpensive hp and dell systems have a gutless power supply, just enough to power it. also, make sure the drivers are up to date.

pentium 4 cpu 2.66ghz

2.50 gb RAM

windows XP

What else should I tell? and any other tips to make the gameplay better...and why the weird problem with the mouse? it only happens during gameplay.

your not trying to run the game on highest graffic settings i hope. on the cs main menu there is a video stress test, i would suggest dumbing down the graffics till your getting a decent frame rate. as far as the mouse, i would check in the device manager and see if there are driver updates for it.

Is this an AGP 4670? If so make sure you get the correct hotfix drivers from the AMD site and unistall your old drivers before installing the new ones.

Yes it is an AGP 4670. I already have done all of that with the updating of the drivers, im pretty sure everything is up to date.

Try disabling the HD Audio driver, it may be in conflict with your mouse.
