Dear reader(s),
Please help me out. I have bought a computer 5 years ago, all of a sudden it wouldn’t start anymore. It starts, the fans are working, but no mouse, keyboard and screen show up. I googled this problem, and it is a problem that a lot of people seem to experience with their computer.
I tried everything:
- CMOS reset
- Replace battery
- Clean startup (No hard disks etc.)
- I tried, in turns, a different: motherboard, PSU, RAM
Nothing worked. So I thought it could be the CPU, although I read everywhere this is most likely not the cause of the problems I’m having.
This lead to the next problem:
I tried, same socket, the CPU of a friend. First his CPU in my computer. Same problem: no keyboard, mouse and screen. Then mine in his. Same problem with his computer. Then we placed his CPU back, after this his computer had the Same problems as Mine.
What could be the cause of all this? And What could be the fix?
