Problems running 2 RAM of different PC

Dear Sir I had HP Laptop Pavilion 6700

My DDR2 Rams was: 1- 2 GB pc5300 667 MH + 1/2 GB The same

Lately I replaced my 1/2 Gb with 2 GB pc 6400 ???????

Now and then I got a message my computer was unable to start!!!!!!!

Could be this difference in Rams Pc is the cause

The ram is compatible, but you may be running a slower speed of 5300.
Check the event viewer to see errors being reported (if any)

Well, you replaced the RAM, and the PC did not start right after that. I'd say the issue is because you changed your shirt, try a new shirt.

If you want to try to use the faster RAM, replace the old one, do a bios update from the vendor support page, try again. You can also try just using the faster ram without the 5300 in there. But the laptop may just not want to work with the ram you have.

That sounds like a BIOS message, not from Windows. Lacking in detail though.
