problems using deluge

So i recently started having problems on IPT. When I try and download I started getting a error message that says "there is no windows program configured to open this type of file" i feel like its a easy fix i just cant figure it out. is there just some way to get deluge to be my default download manager? My OS version is 12.04

If you are downloading a Magnet link... in Deluge go to Edit > Preferences > Other and click the button labeled "Associate with Magnet Links".
