Dear users at Tom's Hardware
I am new to this site and hope someone can help me. I have been using my 13.3'' notebook ASUS UL30A for several years now and have been very happy with it. Now it is pretty slow and I wanted to change the 500 GB Harddrive with a Samsung EVO 840 SSD. It is physically installed now and I wanted to start from scratch with a new Windows 7 installation. I ran into troubles, though, receiving the following message when trying to create partitions:
'Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu.'
I have been viewing several pages on the Internet and got the impression it is a problem maybe connected to the hardware. I figured it was beyond my knowledge and hope someone can help me make it Work. I Wonder if my hardware has any limitations, making it impossible to accomplish my task?
Erik
