Hi, I've been facing some issues with my ASUS VG27AQ monitor and LG gram 17 laptop lately. My laptop is a LG Electronics 17Z95P-K.AA75A8, 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1195G7 @ 2.90GHz, Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics. Whenever I open my laptop up from sleep mode, the laptop screen flickers on the lock screen. The ASUS monitor also totally randomly goes black (doesnt seem to turn off) and occasionally makes a popping sound when it happens.
Another problem is that the monitor often disconnects from my computer when I turn it off. Instead of staying on extend display mode, it switches to single display mode on my laptop screen. I never encountered this issue with any of my old monitors.
To give you a bit of context, my laptop is connected to the monitor via HDMI, specifically through HDMI port 1. I'm on Windows 11. In my attempt to troubleshoot and fix these problems, I've tried various solutions. I turned off adaptive sync, DDC/CI off, uninstalled the driver, factory reset monitor settings. But despite all my efforts, the issues persist.
When trying to trouble shoot on my own, I've seen resources like these (https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/tuf-a...leep-option-but-deep-sleep-problem/m-p/792820) that potentially describe the problem as the "Deep Sleep" function of the monitor. The problem is there doesn't seem to be a way to turn this Deep Sleep off. All of the information I've seen is from when the monitor was newly released, and I was wondering if anyone had a solution either on the software or hardware level? For example, are there any user made drivers that I haven't been able to find? Or some way to open up the monitor and find out what to remove/disconnect in order to physically disable the Deep Sleep function?
