Hi everyone how are you?

Look, if anyone has been through this or if they have any knowledge of what that might be, please help me.

Since when I bought my new computer, it presents the following problem.

When I put Windows (10) to shutdown it takes a lot, more than 1 or 2 mins and if I then turn on the computer without turning the power off the computer does not boot, it turns on but the fans do not spin and not the video, I need to turn off the power and turn it on again so I can turn on the computer. That is, they are two problems that I do not know if it has relation.

1 - too long to turn off the system
2 - Mandatory I need to turn off and on the source so I can turn on the computer.

Anyone have any idea what it might be?

Solution
Hello!

Well, I found some solutions and possible causes of the problem.

As for the need to turn off the power to turn on the computer: I have managed to solve this by enabling the ErP Ready for S4 + S5 in the BIOS and it is working perfectly.

Now the case of the slowness in shutting down Windows, I picked up another SSD to take the test, I installed the whole System from scratch, the drivers and updates and when I put it to shut down worked perfectly, hung up quickly in 5 or 7 seconds.

I thought Windows was the problem. So I did the same on my SSD and to my surprise it's absurdly SLOW for writing, for example, it took me about 4 hours to transfer 29GB from the HD to the SSD. In the install part of Windows + Update also took a 4...
Was Windows 10 freshly installed with this system?

Does this happen while while at stock speeds too?

Is the BIOS of the motherboard up to date?

Check SSD with crystal disk info

chipset drivers installed from Intel?

All power connections plugged in? Especially 8Pin power plug for the CPU and not just one 4 pin plug

use the autoinstaller from memtest.org and boot from the created bootable usb flash drive

try repairing Windows with the microsoft media creator

In the install part of Windows + Update also took a 4 Hours to complete, what the other SSD did in less than 1 hour.

So I believe the problem is my SSD, maybe it's dying by the time and it's time to trade it for a new one.

Thanks a lot for the help!

Solution
Hello Helpstar,

A bios is correct Boot mode, it is already set as AHCI. The cable is new, because the motherboard is new too, this SSD I already have for 3 years.

Using Crystal Disk Info can get proof that the SSD is dying even, in writing it is beating 6Mb / s speed, when in fact it was to have at least 400MB / s. Probably doing a TRIM check or Firmware update will not solve the problem.

I already ordered an 850 EVO, I think I made a good choice :)

Thank you again for your time to try and help me.

I had a similar problem, where I needed to turn off the power source completely to start it back up. Turns out the problem is some issue with the RAM, I have the Corsair LPX 3000MHz RAM, also 2x8GB. I had no problems if XMP was not enabled, and I had no problems with my previous 2x8GB sticks of 2400MHz RAM

I solved it by updating to the latest Aug 2017 BIOS. Now it works find even with XMP
