Just built a computer, its a GTX 970 asus strix + Gigabyte Ultra Gaming z270x + i5 7600k + avexiir 2400 MHz RAM.

The audio on the front end (and also through the tv I guess) and maybe through the back ports on the computer screw up by making a crackling sound, and some clicking, kinda like the audio is clipping. After I reset the computer its fixed, but thats about it. If i go into the audio settings and try the windows 10 fix for similar issues(turning off all enhancements) then I get NO sound.(although havent tried resetting after I did this, so I dont know if it affects it)

EDIT: Forgot to say this happens after a few hours of watching internet videos. Youtube in particular sounds all crackly, and also like the video is slowed down, even though its running at normal speed......

Does anyone know whats going on?

also, this driver isnt found when searching on the internet:
PCI Simple Communications Controller

Its found underneath "other devices" within device manager. for the life of me I cant figure that one out either.

EDIT: Just restarted the computer after going to GIGABYTES website and installing their audio drivers. Lets see if the issue arises again. Also, I set it to studio quality 32 bit 192000 idk why, just thought maybe it was downsetting its audio because it wasnt on par with what the motherboard wanted.....

thanks in advance for any help, and if i figure it out myself or someones solution works, ill make sure to edit this to say so.

make sure the mb bios is up to date. and install the newest intel chipset drivers. for sound there are now two drivers that most pc uses. one is the onboard sound card. when installed it use the front or rear speaker ports. the other sound device now is amd/nvidia hdmi output so that tv and or other hdmi sound devices like a stereo or sound bar can be used. if your using hdmi sound make sure the video card drivers are up to date. to switch from a or b devices go under sound devices and change it from speaker to hdmi. netflix needs microsoft silverlight. some video use mp4 or other plug ins as there compressed video and audio.

I flashed the bios to bios version 4.0 (latest) i would like to say that the problem only started a couple of days ago, although i cant pin down what i did prior. I dont normally use HDMI sound, just when i unplug my headphones (logitech G230's) it automatically switches to using that. Also, the motherboard comes with 'amped up' audio, which i though was wierd. heres the manufacturer specs website, further down, you can see the audio section. unsure where to go with that. also unsure what i should install or what is necessary.

EDIT, just pinned down where i believe the sound problems started. Was messing with gigabyte RGB Fusion software, set it to flash RGBs with sound playing. Reset the computer the next day, and when it came back on, the RGB settings were gone and instead it was back to normal (a cool blue tone) with no settings to flash with music. could that have caused it with some weird error?
