Problems with AverMedia LGP Lite GL310

So, I own an AverMedia GL310, yet I'm not really satisfied with it because it has quite a lot of problems with capturing PC videos. Also, I know that it was meant for recording from consoles, but I'm using it because capture programs overload my my 8-core CPU (they can't use them well). Firstly, I can't play most of the Steam games (especially those based on Source engine) without the resolution drop from FullHD to 800p, even the -w 1920 -h 1080 options can't fix it when in full screen. Secondly, sometimes the device can't detect the sound, so I'm forced to record it with Audacity every time I want to make a gameplay.
Anyways, what I want is for someone who has experience with this crappy and useless black box tell me if he has similar problems and what he does to solve them.

Hey man, I have a problem with the same hardware, but with a signal itself. I get "No signal" on both my screen and in the RECentral app. Do you know how to fix it? I feel like I tried everything...

Try reinstalling everything (and I really mean everything), the avermedia drivers, your video drivers and update the firmware. If that doesn't help, then you will need to spam their email (they will probably reply after around 25 of them) and hope for the customer support to respond to your messages.
