Problems with boot order and windows 10

I decided to have a clean slate and do a clean installation of windows ten.
Long story short, everything was in order and working fine until I had to boot from a USB drive to install the OS. I think I may have chosen the wrong boot option in my bios or something. Because now, my computer will boot but not recognize my monitor, keyboard etc...
I've tried unplugging everything, and even wiping the cmos, but still, nothing happens.

I can't, because my pc isn't recognizing my monitor or keyboard, so I can't troubleshoot very easily

okay can you boot up and use your mouse, if so you should be okayas long as your BIOS is UEFI.

When you get to the logon screen, click the power putton and then hold left shift when you click restart, go to advanced options when the blue screen comes up and pick "UEFI settings" if you have itor whatever it is. It will boot into your bios. Then do default settings and save it.

I can't do any of that because my mouse, keyboard, and monitor aren't being detected, so nothing shows up when I boot my pc, the only thing I can do is tweak the pc itself

Okay, it sounds like even though you "cleared" it it's still messed up. Try this, clear your CMOS with the PSU turned off at the switch or unplugged, if it's still won't recognize your stuff, do it again and before you turn it on, take out the battery and short out the contacts in the battery holder with something metal. The center one to the metal side or top clip. This will discharge your CMOS and it should force it to load the defaults then. The defaults have everything turned on and set to recognize all your stuff. Kind of a "we don't know what you need or have plugged in so we'll activate it all." sort of thing.

It should be okay after that, if not, we'll go from there.

Awesome thanks, trying it now

OK, so I tried changing the jumper and clearing the cmos again, once again. It didn't work. So I then removed my gpu because it was blocking the battery, but, it seems to be under the top layer of my motherboard, so removing it isn't really an option. My motherboard is an Asus sabertooth p67 BTW

Aw, you got that damn dust sheild stuff, my buddy has the same board..lol. Is it still not booting with any of your stuff ? Try booting, unplug it and replug it in while running, USB is designed for hot plug so it won't zap anything.

I'll try that, but its also my monitor. So its definitely not a hardware isssue

It's gotta be a hardware issue, not like it's broke, but something is screwed configwise. I will be back, gonna see if it's specific to your board. I do know of a way to FORCE it to reset, but it entails flashing your CMOS using your USB drive and your back panel.

Awesome, thanks

I cannot believe this still isn't working, its still doing the same thing. Maybe I'll just have to buy a new motherboard

Yeah, no shit ! If you decide to buy a new one, no harm in taking off the shroud and doing the battery thing, then shooting it !

BTW, i got the MEMOK bios deal right from the book when i saw no flashback button on rear panel. This thing really wants to stay broken !!

I would see if there is a way to flash it then it has to reset no choice !

Yeah, well thanks for the help anyway, I appreciate it. I'll keep looking into it

If I get any ideas I'll let you know. Other than take it out of the case and see if it's all of a sudden grounding out somewhere it's not supposed to, I am at a loss too, it sure is being a bitch !
