Hello everyone,

my dad has this old pc (10+ years old?) that has recently encountered the "User profile service failed to logon" problem. I googled the issue and found the easiest fix is a quick registry edit via safe mode with networking boot. However when i start the PC is get the "PCIE Gen2 can't ind any device" notification aswell. The keyboard didnt seem to start until i got into windows login screen everytime so i wasnt able to access the boot menu. I tried various fixes until i took out the CMOS battery and reinserted it. After that i was able to access the boot menu but if i try to boot it in safe mode it stops at classpnp.sys file, which is apparently also a common error. If i let it boot to windows normally it now stops at the windows loading screen everytime. I feel like my tinkering made the intial issue even worse. I have run out o ideas what to do short of reinstalling windows,if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
