Hey guys i have a little problem.
I was helping my little brother with his new pc he wanted to build, he chose the g4560 for the cpu at pcpartpicker.com but when he tried to choose the motherboard this message appeared...
-"Some Intel B150 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."
We both dont know what it is so I wish you can help us.
Sorry for the bad english its not my main language.

the 100 series is from the skylake generation (previous generation). They can run Kabylake CPUs but need to have their BIOS updated to do so. There is no guarantee that a 100 series motherboard will have the up-to-date BIOS installed already and you can't update the BIOS without a CPU that it understands.

Like Blackbird suggested a 200 series motherboard will work with Kabylake out of the box. So if you don't want to take the risk or deal with a possible BIOS update then get a 200 series motherboard.
