Hi.
I'm having problems (CTD with no errors, usually, sometimes I have crash reports, very rarely frozen black screen with over-saturated red highlights that restarts my PC) with my EVGA rtx 3090 FTW3.
I'm running RTSS and keep an eye on temps; CPU/GPU don't go over 80C, my fans are running at high rpm.
Some of the errors are:
Apex Legends

BF2042

Project Wingman

War Thunder also crashes sometimes, and those errors usually cause the screen freezing black, with red highlights, then hard restart.
Some days I have no errors, then there will be days with constant CTDs.

My machine:
I7 11700K
Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite
32GB Gskill Trident Z royal DDR4 4000Mhz
EVGA Geforce RTX 3090 FTW3
850 W EVGA psu

Running games at 1440p / 144 Hz
NOTHING is OC'ed , just using XMP for the ram (4000 Mhz)
Latest video drivers, ofc.

Please, walk me through troubleshooting, if it is possible, or if I should start looking into RMA the card (Bought everything in July)

Thank you.

Solution
I would try running the PC without XMP enabled to see what it does. If you don't have an issues, than it is the XMP speed at 4000 MHz, which you'll have to play with timings and speeds to get a stable build. I would set to 3600 (1800 MHz) and start there. There is no guarantee that the CPU will be able to handle the XMP settings. It can be the luck the silicone draw there, just like with overclocking.
It has issues with nVidia Ampere. replace it for a better unit. EVGA Supernova G6, Corsair RMx, XPG Core Reactor, Thermaltake GF1, that kind of stuff.

or another 850 rmx, i don't know the difference between these 2 models

Either of these is ok? I will get 1000W EVGA in that case, just in case I grow balls to build a WC loop.
i really hope it's just a PSU issue 🤞

Well, have to revive this thread, because I don't know what to do now.
Installed EVGA Supernova 1000W G6.
RMA'ed my 3090, got another one from manufacturer.
Same. Freaking. Problems.
I guess it's not the GPU then.

What's next, guys?

"Some days I have no errors, then there will be days with constant CTDs."
Software/driver issues tend to be sporadic like that, with hardware being the opposite.
Did you carry over the C drive from a previous build, clean install Windows, and update chipset, lan, audio drivers?
Tried reinstalling the games?
Some peripherals have their own drivers/software, and may need updating.

Some of the games were reinstalled, others not.
Did not reinstall OC. I guess no choice now. Will do that on my days off next week.

I would try it without XMP to see what it does. If the system works with out issue, than you know it isn't the RAM but the XMP profile. If you still get the issues at stock settings, than I would say it is more likely a RAM issue.
Sir, countless hours of gameplay since reverting from XMP, and NOT A SINGLE HICKUP!
I will eventually look into how manually tweak the RAM speed a bit higher in BIOS, but thank you so so much. If I could thank you monetarily, I would.

Thanks for the offer but there is no need for a monetary support. Glad you got things up and running!! When time comes for tweaking the RAM, just reach out to our community under the "Memory" section and I'm sure someone will be able to help you tweak those settings.
