I installed more ram on my PC now it turns on for 2 second and turns off and repeat.

Motherboard: z390 e gaming
Processor: i9 9900k
Ram: corsair vengeance RGB PRO
CMW16GX4M2K4000C19

Solution
i installed the ram thats all
And you mixed the new pack with the RAM already in your PC?
have you installed the RAM as per your motherboard manual slots? Or are all 4 DIMMS populated?

  • Ensure you have installed them as per the MB manual first,
  • then unplug your PC, hold the power button for 10 seconds whilst unplugged to pwoer cycle it,
  • then take out the CMOS battery for 5 minutes,
  • plug CMOS back in,
  • then plug the PC back in and try booting.

On top of this, mixed modules are not guaranteed compatibility regardless. They could well be causing conflicts if you mixed two packs of RAM (regardless as to if they are the same model).

Did you power cycle the PC and reset CMOS after installing the new RAM?

i mixed the new pack yes and populated all 4 slots to get 32GB. i removed the 16GB extra ram and tried to start up it went smoothly. ive decided to return the new kit and buy a 32GB ram kit. it wasn't so simple as i thought it would be.
