Problems with FX 5600

I have problems with the graphics card when with XP i cannot
Change my resolution from 800 x 600 other wise my screen messes up and gives me lines all over the place ,
Can anyone help?

Try over-riding your refresh rate in the Nv control panel. It is likely trying to force a refresh rate that your monitor cannot handle.

You havn't told us much,and I hope this isn't the problem, but the first thing that came to my mind was have you installed the drivers for that card? I believe the defualt windows drivers are 800x600, and they can't go higher than that. Like I said, I hope you've already got the drivers installed, and this was just the first thing that came to my mind
