I want to use my GeForce 210 (EN210 SILENT/DI/1GD3/V2(LP)) in my Dell Optiplex 760 Small Form Factor. When I boot the system I do get signal, but after a short period (varies, give or take a minute after logged in into Windows) the gpu stops sending a signal. I tried the dvi and hdmi, both give the same problem. It's not only into an installed Windows. I get the same problem when I start the installation of Windows. I can get through a few steps but before I can start the installation the gpu stops sending a signal to my monitor.

I have tried both options in the bios. Automatic and use the installed graphics card. Both give the same problem.
I unfortunately don't have an other system to test the graphics card with. I also haven't found anyone with the same problem yet on google.
Is this a common problem? Can someone help me with this?
The graphic card doesn't get hot (not strange because it stops working quiet fast)

I haven't tried yet to see if this problem also occurs when I boot a Ubuntu Live usb, but I guess it will have the same problem because I also have this problem booting the Windows install USB without having anything installed yet.

This can't be caused by some sort of incompatibility of the card and the optiplex?
What options do I have besides buying a new gpu? Could putting it in the oven be a possible (temporary) solution?

Yes in the oven is an often used last resort method when the garbage can is the only solution left isn't it?

The monitor works fine with my laptop with the same cables. So that doesn't seem to be the problem.

The optiplex 760 has an onboard graphic card but that card isn't supported for the software I want to run.

I read somewhere the ram memory could be causing this. I just increased the memory from 6 to 8, I'll try to boot with less or other memory (but I'm afraid the graphic card is just dead)
