Hey, I just created an account here because I believe I am at a dead-end.

I have been playing on my pc for months and just decided to upgrade my cpu to the i9-11900kf. I decided to do the 11th gen because I didn't want to purchase a new motherboard.

Anyways I needed to update the bios on my motherboard to be compatable with my new cpu (old cpu was a intel i5-10400), So i updated to bios version 2103 for my Asus Z490-A motherboard. this update is not the newest but the newest update instructions on the Asus website were unclear, so i installed one of the oldest compatable updates for the i9 11th gen. After I updated bios and installed the new cpu everything worked fine for day or two, but then my pc started losing display randomly while gaming and restarting. All of my drivers are up to date, Graphics card, Monitor, Cpu, etc...

My pc specs:

Asus prime Z490- A mobo
Zotac Gaming 3070ti
intel i9-11900kf
4*8 GB sticks 3200mhz ddr4 ram(they are mismatched but ran just fine with pc before new cpu.)
EVGA 750w power supply
1tb ssd NVME

This pc is in a case with 9 fans, and plenty of airflow, and the CPU has a 240mm Aio cooler. And temps in the pc have been fine even the new cpu temp. I have run windows files fixer in command promp and fixed corrupted files, I have also made sure everything is up to date. I purchased The CPU new on ebay for $205.00, I made sure the seller was creditable. I also made sure the CPU pins were not bent and even took apart and reassembled to do so after the initial install. I ran the PC without specific software a few at a time to see if one was bad but my pc kept freezing and restarting after every try.

What I think might be the problem but have no idea how to diagnose is the power supply, im not sure how old it is becuase it was in a used pc I bought, it is Gold rated however.

Other than that, it might be the CPU itself? I can't see why it would be but at the same time the problems all started after installing bios update and new Cpu. Or maybe its software related please help.

Sooo . . . I ran a power benchmark on the before and after specs you have & it seems that even though your 750 Watt PSU held with both; it would be recommended to get at least an 800-850 watt PSU for that 11900KF as it's an unlocked CPU and idk if your Mobo is doing any OCing to it or not. Also, it's HIGHLY recommended to update the BIOS to it's latest version AFTER installing the newest CPU as these kind of things happen. Just Flash the BIOS with the latest version if you can & it might work properly again. If not then get a better PSU as power like you said may be the problem too..........................food for thought
