Problems with interface

My Guild Master just got a 3 day suspension for using a 3d Party User
Interface program that was not approved by Blizzard. Apparently they
feel we must all learn how to write XML Script in order to customize
our interfaces.

However, my complaint is not the purpose of this post.

I was also using this same interface and went in to remove it from my
system. Unfortunatly now that I have, I cannot get my bag windows to
move around when I open my bags. This is inconvenient as hell and even
screws up if I opemn more than one bag at a time.

Any suggestions short of re-installing the entire damned program?

And..... should I find that uninstalling and re-installing the entire
mess is my only choice, is the WTF folder the only thing I need to
save??

No, you can download third party add-ons but they have to be .LUA and
..XML and not any .EXEs that run externally to the WoW executable.

This is the default way that WoW works. There are a number of ways to
improve this interface and they all involve downloading third party
add-ons (or writing them yourself - still third party but you are the
third party). I've heard of an add-on called MoveAnything which can
help. Another add-on which can help is AllInOneInventory which just
has one bag window that expands to include all the slots.

One of my characters has a problem if he opens more than one bag too.
The second bag doesn't have the window that contains the slots - the
slots just float in the middle of nowhere. I get around this with
AllInOneInventory.

It sounds like you've uninstalled all third party add-ons. A better
solution would be to find out which program was your guildmaster was
suspended for and install all the ones you need without that one. IMO
it should be obvious to him which one is the "illegal" one (he should
even have been told).

That is what I was afraid of when I removed ALL the items in the
Interface/addons folder. I saved them and guess now it's just going to
be a function of putting them back a few at a time.

Thanks guys for the input. I pretty much figgured anything that would
allow unattended or BOT like play would be disallowed. But simple
skin/interfaces??? Yet I can see better what they are getting at.

I have tried MoveAnything and it works nicely with the exception of breaking
the quest tracker (the up to 5 quests goal display). I used to be able to
drag those lines around using the green button but that was broken by
MoveAnythin. Reason enough for me to deinstall it again...

What was the interface incidentally?

Twat.

Of course I am assuming you are just being a shithead and overlooking facts
and aren't just a ignorant fool who hasn't heard of the LUA scheme. Either
way, no license, no sympathy.

It was Ultimate UUI. Mt Guild Master was nailed with a 3 day
suspension for using it.
