hi all!
i have these components and i was not able to boot the machine. i have version 5 and as far as i read the manual i noticed that this mainboard cant handle cpus above 750 MHz. is there a way to let the system run?

First of all, never read that part of the manual, or website, it's almost always wrong. There were no boards that would support the 750 without supporting the 850. That's because even if the multiplier adjustments didn't go high enough, those processors used a multiplier lock that would override the board setting.

The only multiplier limit I've ever seen or heard of on this type of board (from any manufacturer) was 10x on some Asus boards. It was fixed with a BIOS update. It wouldn't surprise me to find a 10x limit on other brands of boards either.

You have a C3 1.2GHz? That should perform about as well as a Celeron 800. Why didn't you just get a Celeron 1200 and the $5 adapter (available from Compgeeks)?

Based on your purchase I have to believe that you simply shouldn't be messing around inside these things until you have a little better grasp of the situation. Try reading something, anything.
