Problems with my GPU

Hi i have an R9 270 OC and I've installed the latest drivers for it but when i go select it in screen resolution under the 'Display' drop down box it thinks i'm trying to add an additional screen i think? any suggestions? thanks.

Make sure all of your connectors are in right and then go into a game and see if it is giving you the performance you expect.

Thanks i still get the performance from my GPU in game but i can't up my resolution.

That dropdown box shows you that you have a c24f390 display hooked up to an amd r9 series card. That is all as it should be. To change resolution, choose the next box down that says resolution.
If you had multiple displays attached, you would choose the monitor you wanted to edit from the display drop down first, then alter it's resolution with the resolution drop down.

If you want to change resolution in game, you need a monitor capable of handling that resolution, and you would make that change in the game, not in windows display settings. Windows display settings is for windows and the way it appears. Games resize according to the settings in the game itself, but only if you can support that resolution.
