problems with my laptop

I have a problem with my laptop, a key is broken in half should I have it fixed? how long will they have it replaced??? I am going on vacation in two weeks and I CANNOT BE WITHOUT MY LAPTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will all my data be lost when they replace it?

You won't lose any data.

Phone the repair guy and ask him how long. He might have spares on hand or he might say it'll take 6 weeks to get them in.
