I recently purchased a D-Link DWA 582 wireless AC1200 network adapter and I have some connection issues .. approximately 20 minutes after startup my home network wont work with my PC for some reason I tried to exit the network and entering back but it didnt work also tried to power of my router and power it up again multiple times and still it didnt help. I have an N600 router in my home also I'm pretty sure this problem only occurs in my PC every other network consuming device in my home work fine .. Please help !

Just picked up this adapter yesterday to replace a USB adapter I picked up a while ago (The LINKSYS WUSB6300 AC1200 WIRELESS-AC USB ADAPTER, plugged in via USB 3.0 port). I wanted a PCI-E card initially but Bestbuy only had the USB one, so I went with that. The USB one had been working fine regardless, but playing 1080p MKV videos between computers would freeze or pixelate periodically...

So yeah, I got the PCI-E DWA-582 adapter instead thinking it would handle this sort of application better... but...

The problem is...

So yeah, I got the PCI-E DWA-582 adapter instead thinking it would handle this sort of application better... but...

The problem is...
- When testing the card, running a speedtest on speedtest.net and also on speedtest.shaw.ca (as Shaw in Canada is my internet service provider), the download speed is consistently better then the USB adapter by about 10mbps... which is great. I get about 60mbps instead of about 50mbps... BUT... the upload speedtest never completes and I get a timeout error every time... The upload speedtest starts out fast at about 3.5mbps... then starts to slow down to less than 1mbps, then it times out. When I Disable the new dwa-582 adapter and switch back to the Linksys USB adapter, the Linksys adapter completes the Download and Upload test consistently, but again the download speed is about 10bmps slower... So I know the issue is not related to my 802.11ac network... channel settings, interference... etc. Otherwise both adapters would be affected...

There seems to be only one driver available as well, so I can't try a different one...

However, I do think this is a driver issue...

My modem/router Combo:
Brand: CISCO
Model: DPC3848V

Set to AC only, 5ghz only... but I think these setting are irrelevant as the USB adapter on the same machine does not have this issue...

I'm running Windows 7 home premium 64-bit...
