hello everyone!
I have an Asrock z490m pro4 motherboard and I am having problems with Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G36C16U4B 3600 Mhz on my PC, in practice, when it is set to the speed of 3600mhz the PC is Freeza/ block and no longer responds to commands 5 minutes from the power of the PC with any app open!. Instead, by setting the RAM speed to 3000mhz the problem no longer appears!

I have to buy 100% compatible RAM with my motherboard or can solve the problem with various tests?

Thank you all and have a nice day!

You can try 3600 and raise the voltage from 1.35 to 1.4

Everything above 2933MHz is considered overclocking on that motherboard. By definition, you are working outside the guaranteed specifications. To attain a specific speed 3 things must support that speed: CPU (memory controller), motherboard, and the DRAM modules.

If you can't get to 3600MHz you might get 3200MHz. And then again you may not. You are into the "silicon lottery" territory there.

My cpu is an i5 10600k how do I see if it’s enabled? So I have to change ram to a 100% compatible with my motherboard if I want to take advantage of 3600mhz?

thx1138v2 summed up (above) pretty clear and yes, your CPU should 100% work at 2933Mhz.
To make more use of your 3600MHz RAM (which doesn't work at that speed in your case), you can try to manually change parameters in BIOS. Maybe you can make RAM to run fine at 3200MHz or higher. Maybe you can make it run even at 3600Mhz simply by increasing CL from 16 to 18 -is impossible to predict.

Just lower your speed, have you tried running it at 3200 or 2600? Remember this is technically an overclock, the issue is NOT the RAM IMHO. It's the motherboard not liking the RAM speed, latency, voltage etc.

I really think if you lower the speed it will work with no issues.

Here is the supported memory from the MB.
