I build a new High End Gaming Pc and wanted to try out the Am5 Plattform to form an opinion on AMD in General and give them a chance as well.
After a lot of tweaking the System runs completely fine now exept, that after Restarting the Pc in any way the 2th ram stick shows up as SpacemIT and only has 2400mhz. I did every test possible like memtest and taking out the ram and reseating it and cleaning it with an eraser, but the thing that made the stick work again was just to Shut of my Pc and Turn it on again.
So it has to do with the Pc restarting in General. When i turn it off normally all my Ram ( 2 Sticks of Corsair Vengeance) get recognized and run with expo fine.
And i can use the Pc without any issues. Every game works, every benchmark works. Its just that after Hitting the restart button or manually going into Bios makes the 2th Stick not work until i do a hardreset.

Everything is Updated including the Bios and im Running a B650 plus from Asus with the current version : 2413

Would be great if anyone had an idea what the issue is, because everything seems to be working under some conditions so i dont think something is broken

With Expo enabled ( disabling it and restarting doesnt do anything it seems)

Also it seems to be "normal" but my System boots in 30-40 sekonds with fast boot disabled. Is that acceptable for Am5 or is that also something one can improve on. Because im 8 year old setup with my ssd booted in 3 sekonds xD. So yeah. Pay more start slower feels a bit bad.

Your RAM sticks are different and not as a factory paired unit, It takes time for BIOS to figure out best settings, so called "Memory training" which can take some time.

I would agree with you if they actually were Different Sticks.
They are in fact the same stick tho. Both 16Gb of DDr5 Corsair Vengeance with 6000 on expo. Thats what the problem here is.

The second stick changes its name and speeds after a restart. It only seems to recognize the stick as normal when i do a hard shutdown. I will prove it with a picture even. Wait a second :D

Yes ofcourse. I bought a pair of 2x16 GB. And i checked my motherboard compatibility for the Asus B650 Prime for those exact sticks and those exact sticks are supported so im confused on that part
Just to make sure. It seems like i deleted it from my original post but this is the exact stick:

CMH32GX5M2B6000Z30K

Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 AMD EXPO iCUE

Also reproducing this problem is easy and consistent btw xD. I would guess it would have to be a software issues at this point. Because i can simply hardshutdown the pc and never have a problem. Its only when i press restart or go into bios from my windows.

For example if i ever wanted to go into bios i would have to do it after i hardshutdown and then i wouldnt have problems again.

Its just a minor inconvienience at this point. But i heard that even minor Ram problems can cause issues in the long run so i just wanna make sure that the build i put together at least works for once.

I did buy them i a kit together in the same box yes xD.
But now that you mention it i did in fact not clear my Cmos after the bios update. What consequences may that have?
Likely none. Usually when updating your BIOS, it gets reset.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to do again.

At this point, I would recommend testing your memory with a tool like memtest. I would also remove the CPU and inspect the socket for any bent/missing pins in the socket.

Puh i already ran a full memtest to the end and there were no issues. But i have also read that the are issues with cpu seatin of 3nm that none can see but they are there. I just think that it would be hard to pull of anyways because i kinda have to press down in the cpu cooler to be able to get both screws inside the hole and then tighten them down evenly. Things like 3nm would be impossible to avoid then :/

Still Thank you for the Tipp.

I think i seem to have solved to problem somehow or another.
If anyone has the same Problems maybe the steps i took could help:
-Disable anything related to microsoft powersaving plan so the system doesnt go to sleep anymore ( heard that am5 has big issues waking up from sleep)
-even tho amd adrenaline and amory crate might show that every driver is up to date just check at your manufacturers website for any update at all that might be higher than what you already have

For me there was a small Chipset update from 6.01... to 6.02...
and Armory crate shows 6.01 as newest even tho it isnt.
Also on the official Asus website the newest chipset driver is 5.11 so that is wayy old.
Amd Chipset Driver for B650 plus

after installing everything (which included something along the lines of 3DV Cache optimazation -- which i have with my Ryzen 7 7800x3d)
the problem seems to be fixed.
I ran every test again so:
-restarted into bios from Windows with cmd command
-restarted Windows in general
-repeated both Error Sourced 4-5 Times

Problem seems to be fixed and every ram stick seems to work in Expo config with advertised speeds.
And they get recognized as the correct Stick they are.
Sadly Windows boot is still slow as before with 28 seconds bios time according to task manager.
But i did notice that the Boot Logo Screen Pops up better and More Responsive when before it was rather hard to get into bios (thats why i use the workaround with cmd)

I will Probably run a few more tests in like a week to see if that really fixed the problem or if that is just a temporary fix until something seems to stop working again. Which seems to be the case with some of the Am5 Updates.

Im just glad i could get it resolved for now and i stil thank everyone for looking at it. I hope this might help someone who is in the same situation.

Well as much as i hoped it to work .... here i am. I hate to be right but yea. Now the same type of problem occurs but a bit differently. It still shows Spacemit when it doesnt recognize Corsair but now instead of having 8 GB or ram in total i have 4GB with both having 2 GB and both running on 2400Mhz.
But still for everyone wondering it gets fixed as soon as you press on your powerbutton and power the pc down and restart it this way. So it would normally only occur if you need to restart your pc which is like every after app that is downloaded and want to restart your pc after. Such as graphicsdrivers.
In my case: Bought 2Tb nvme again installed it and for the Drivers i downloaded its management app and after updating the firmware on those pc needed to restart. Will Update you guys if i manage to tickle my System into doing more weird stuff that it isnt supposed to :D
As much as thats anoying tho. Its kinda funny and it doesnt bother me as much still dont think i regret having bought Amd. But i would see how a normal consumer would want their hardware and software to work as it should.
