Got home from a LAN party yesterday, so I had to set up everything. I randomly found an older HP L1706 monitor, only supporting VGA connection, and thought why not hook it up as a second monitor (primary monitor: ASUS VG24QE connected with DVI).
GPU: ASUS GTX670 and EVGA GTX670 in SLI
The GPUs don't support VGA, but I was able to find an adapter (DVI - VGA) to use with the HP monitor.
Pictures showing GPU setup and connectors. The ASUS monitor is connected with the white DVI and the HP monitor with the black one. IMAGES HERE
I use the ASUS as the primary GPU, so i connected both DVIs to it, but when I turned on the computer, nothing appeared at any of the screens. I tried once more, this time with only the ASUS monitor connected, but nothing happened. The power indicators on the ASUS GPU are both glowing green, as usual, so it has power. I tried connecting the ASUS monitor into the EVGA GPU, and it worked. I also tried connecting the old HP monitor in to the EVGA GPU, and it worked too.
The Nvidia control panel doesn't recognize the ASUS GPU (image in link above). Does anyone have a fix for this, or is the ASUS GPU broken?
